The process of surviving school should not require students to lose their mental health.
The condition produces exhaustion which exceeds fatigue because it leads to a complete state of total exhaustion.
The continuous accumulation of stress which lacks proper rest results in burnout. The situation extends beyond a single week of poor performance because you have been operating at a low energy level for many months which has caused you to lose interest in your previous passions.
Burnout doesn't mean you're weak. Your body has experienced excessive strain because you have not allowed sufficient time for rest.
Your daily responsibilities include attending school classes and completing homework assignments while participating in extracurricular activities and maintaining social relationships and working at a job and getting at least eight hours of sleep. The math doesn't add up.
The problem isn't you. The problem exists because no one has demonstrated to you the method for managing your work tempo.
You don't need a full lifestyle change. You need tiny fixes.
You should dedicate 10 minutes to any task which you find unpleasant. Most of the time you'll keep going. If not, at least you started.
Breaks function as essential components of work instead of serving as rewards which employees receive after completing their tasks. Set a timer. Step away. Your brain needs it.
Pulling all-nighters isn't impressive. Your poor planning has finally led to this situation. Rest is productive.
Look at your schedule. What is one activity which you perform because you must rather than because you want to? Drop it or cut it back.
This is non-negotiable.
Your brain needs sleep to function properly because it needs sleep to operate correctly. The human body experiences negative effects on memory and focus and mood when someone fails to get enough sleep.
Your body will experience major changes because you add one extra hour of sleep to your nightly rest during a seven-day period.
Your decision to handle your problems independently will result in no additional points for you.
You should talk to someone about this situation whether it is a teacher or counselor or friend or parent. Not when you're already falling apart, but before.
Teachers prefer to assist students at the beginning of their learning process instead of observing them fail without intervention.
You don't have to earn rest. You can start making changes without reaching the lowest point of your situation. Small habits which you perform regularly will prevent you from experiencing a complete breakdown.
You're not a machine. Stop running like one.
